I'm Lizzie the Soapstress and I'm so glad you're here! 

Sweetwater Sage got its start back in 2003, when I started making soap for my young nephew as a way to relieve his eczema and psoriasis, Mentored by my teacher, the noted herbalist/alchemist David Winston, Danny's skin healed, and he was able to stop taking medication for his skin issues. This small success turned my interest in soap making into a hobby and then into a passion. In 2020, this passion for handcrafting cold process soap became a business and Sweetwater Sage was born. Today, I work as a small business owner and full-time small-batch soapstress, handcrafting artisan cold process soap, healing balms and skincare products for men, women and furbabies..

Using time-honored recipes I handcraft all Sweetwater Sage products by myself. I use only premium-quality natural, organic, and cruelty-free ingredients such as organic essential oils and butter, natural clays, and plant-based as well as mineral colorants. All my products are ethically harvested and RSPO guaranteed,, as sustainability, wellness-promotion and respect for life by remaining cruelty-free are the core principles of my business. My background as an RN, herbalist, and extensive experience in crafting soap as well as all-natural skin care items means you can expect a high-quality product that has been thoroughly tested by human repeat volunteers. I absolutely love what I do and I hope it shows!
